International Sales · Planning · Operations

I work where international sales meets operations.

For more than ten years, I have worked with customers, sales teams, factories, and suppliers across Taiwan, Japan, and Canada. My work is to make everyday decisions around pricing, production, inventory, and supply respond to market demand.

CHING Advisory

Helping small businesses clarify complex operational questions, understand their opportunities and constraints, and find a practical next step.

Insight · Structure · Impact

I understand both sides of the conversation. I balance what customers and sales teams expect with what factories and supply planning can realistically deliver.

Three examples of how I work.

01

Canada

Planning a 400-product business

At JVCKENWOOD Canada, I worked across sales, factories in Japan, teams in the United States, and global suppliers—bringing together market demand, pricing, inventory, production planning, and budgeting.

From customer need to production

In optical communications, winning an order was only the beginning. The work that followed required aligning customer needs, technical specifications, pricing, factory capacity, and realistic delivery schedules across borders so that an order could move successfully into production.

Independent Project

Making a growth idea workable

I helped a service-business owner assess the feasibility of expanding to a second location. Through interviews, I mapped the customer journey and examined service capacity, current operating conditions, and the scale of the business, then translated the analysis into practical next steps that could be carried out in stages.

Creative work is also part of who I am.

Before moving into international business, I studied film, wrote screenplays, and hosted a live radio program. Photography and drawing are how I observe and record life.

The experiences that led from one step to the next.

01

2013—2019Taiwan

Building a foundation in technical sales

I began in technology-focused B2B sales, working through customer requirements, quotations, technical specifications, delivery schedules, and factory constraints. My first role involved selling industrial adhesive tapes in Taiwan. Later, at Hitachi High-Tech, I moved into sales, supplier management, and international business development, gradually expanding my work into cross-border manufacturing coordination.

02

2019—2021Japan

Building new business from the ground up

In 2019, I became the first Taiwanese colleague in my department to be assigned to the company’s headquarters in Japan, where I worked on new-business development between Taiwan and Japan. My focus shifted to connected-car and electric-vehicle initiatives—from researching unfamiliar markets and defining early concepts to coordinating partners across Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Working through multiple layers of investment approval taught me the practical importance of testing new product ideas with as little investment as possible—an instinct I would later recognize and formalize through the concept of the minimum viable product (MVP).

03

2021—2023Canada

Defining the problem before executing the solution

Through my McGill MBA and Product Manager Internship at Cerence, I began to revisit challenges from my earlier work through the lenses of organizations, business models, and user needs. Using surveys and interviews, I explored the road-safety needs of people driving rental cars abroad, then independently designed and built an interactive prototype in Adobe XD to test the concept as a minimum viable product (MVP). The resulting product concept addressed only a small group of users, but the process taught me to confirm the problem and understand the need before committing resources or choosing a product and business direction. It also changed how I understood operations: not only as execution and coordination, but as deciding what is worth pursuing when resources are limited.

04

2023—2026Canada

Connecting commercial and operational decisions

After completing my MBA at McGill, I joined JVCKENWOOD Canada in product and sales planning. I managed planning across more than 400 models, connecting market forecasts and priorities with inventory, production, pricing, supply, and budgeting decisions.

Bringing experience closer to the people it serves

CHING Advisory grew from wanting to apply the experience I had accumulated in a more direct and personal way. Alongside my international career, I work on a small number of projects with small-business owners.
